In October last year, Khloé Kardashian shocked her with the news that a malignant tumor had to be removed from her face. The mother of two had been diagnosed with black skin cancer. Kardashian showed up with a large patch on her left cheek and then enlightened her fans in an Instagram story.
“After noticing a small bump on my face and assuming it was something as minor as a pimple, I decided seven months later to have a biopsy after noticing it was not changing,” Kardashian wrote . As it turned out, it wasn’t just a pimple, but a tumor that needed to be removed immediately.
The surgical procedure is also discussed in the third season of the reality TV show “The Kardashians”, which starts on May 25 and is available in Germany from Disney. The Hulu streaming service has now released a new trailer. In the video, which is around two and a half minutes long, Khloé Kardashian can be seen in several scenes with a huge bandage on his cheek. At one point she even shows her wound uncovered, the threads are clearly visible. A ruler can be seen being placed against Kardashian’s cheek to measure the length of the scar – it is four centimeters.
“It’s very worrying about her face,” says family head Kris Jenner. Khloé Kardashian’s younger half-sister, Kendall Jenner, has expressed concerns that the 38-year-old is sleeping too little and has lost too much weight. And Kardashian himself admits in the trailer: “Melanoma is fatal. It was much more serious than I imagined.”
Because it was not the first time that the American had to have a malignant skin tumor surgically removed. At the age of 19 she already had a melanoma on her back. She would use sunscreen every day, but has a hereditary predisposition and is therefore at higher risk, Kardashian explained on Instagram last year.
At the time she was optimistic: “I’m so grateful that we recognized this early on. I was lucky, all that’s left is a scar that I can tell a story with. Most people aren’t as lucky as I am , and I am forever grateful.”
