For Father’s Day, which is celebrated in the United Kingdom, among other things, this Sunday (June 18), the royal family shared a picture of the young Princes Harry (38) and William (40). In the photo they are with their father, King Charles III. (74) to see. “To all fathers around the world, we wish you a very special Father’s Day today.”
According to British media reports, the picture with Charles and his two sons was taken in 1997. It shows the three members of the royal family on the royal estate in Balmoral, Scotland. Two other pictures can also be seen in the Palace’s post: One photo shows Prince Philip (1921-2021) with his son Charles, another Queen Camilla (75) with her father Major Bruce Shand (1917-2006).
Prince Harry, now the father of Lilibet (2) and Archie (4), emigrated to the United States in 2020 with his wife, Duchess Meghan (41). Since then, the two have repeatedly attacked the royal family in interviews, a Netflix documentary and in Harry’s autobiography “Reserve”. This is said to have created great tension, especially between William and Harry.
Prince William also published a new picture with his children for Father’s Day. The heir to the British throne can be seen on this with Prince George (9), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5). In the snap, the 40-year-old smiles for the camera and wraps his arms around Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who sit on either side of him and look up at their father. Meanwhile, Prince Louis stands behind William, wraps his arms around his father and grins broadly.
According to media reports, the family of the heir to the throne with the picture also commemorates Williams’ late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). For the photo, the royals are sitting on a bench that was given to the Queen in 2016 for her 90th birthday.
