Moviegoers were probably amazed at this sight: Prince Harry surprisingly attended the premiere of his new Netflix documentary “Heart of Invictus” in a cinema in Chula Vista, California, on Monday evening. This is shown by several posts on social media.
Among other things, a viewer shared a video on Instagram in which Prince Harry was speaking on stage while his documentary was running in the background. “When on a normal Monday night Prince Harry crashes the premiere of his show in Chula Vista,” she writes. Then a joint selfie with the 38-year-old can be seen. “What a show, what a man, what a great surprise,” enthuses the user.
On stage, Prince Harry greeted the audience in a friendly manner and explained, among other things, that “Heart of Invictus” had been created in the past two years. As “Entertainment Tonight” claims to have learned, the appearance should not have been planned, which is why there was no press on site.
The five-part documentary series “Heart of Invictus” will be available on Netflix from August 30th. It features Prince Harry alongside athletes at the sporting event. The series starts just a few days before the start of this year’s Invictus Games in Düsseldorf. The sports event for war-disabled soldiers was initiated by Prince Harry and took place in London for the first time in 2014. The Invictus Games 2020 had to be postponed due to the corona pandemic. They were finally held in The Hague in April 2022.
