Fred Again collects scraps of conversation and turns them into music. The songs on his new record “Actual Life 3 (January 1 – September 9 2022)” are based on short video or audio samples. They come partly from voice messages from friends, videos he found while scrolling Instagram, and partly from samples of hit music tracks.

From this, the electro-pop musician produced autobiographical songs for his new work, which record his personal experiences of the past year. Thematically, the tracks move somewhere between love, hope and the feeling of not being alone. Lines like “I just know that it get better with time” are accompanied by atmospheric sounds and electro beats. Translated it means: “All I know is that it gets better with time”. That’s what the song “Bleu (better with time)” is about.

In the track “Delilah (pull me out of this)” it says: “Pull me out of this, you know how to calm me down”. Translated: “Pull me out of there, you know how to calm me down”. The song was inspired by “having a panic attack in a club and you need that very specific person to get you out of there,” as the musician himself describes in an Instagram post. Here Fred Again samples his close friend Delilah singing her own song “Lost Keys” on Instagram.

Fred Again already pursued the concept of wrapping his collection of voice messages and samples in music on his debut album “Actual Life (April 14 – December 17 2020)” and the follow-up “Actual Life 2 (February 2 – October 15, 2021)”. . The music producer’s current record is now the third and final part of his “Actual Life” series.

In addition to his own projects, Fred Again has worked with many successful musicians. Among them the DJ group Swedish House Mafia, the successful singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and singer Rita Ora. In 2020, Fred Again won the Brit Award in the Producer of the Year category – becoming the youngest ever winner in this category.
