The royals’ favorite foods aren’t oysters and caviar, but regular fare, like the popular fried fish

In 2021, Prince William and Kate paid a visit to Scotland, stopping a number of times at the award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar in the seaside town of Anstruther. The couple ordered a £7.95 paper-wrapped haddock dinner to go, which they ate on a bench on the pier before heading back for another ice cream.

Even the late Queen ate “Fish

The former royal chef also revealed that her grandchildren, Prince William and Prince Harry, on the other hand, loved pizza and it was always pizza dinners at Kensington Palace back then. Luckily, Prince William learned to cook properly after this time. With his dedication to the stove and home-cooked dishes such as spaghetti bolognese, he is said to have conquered Kate Middleton’s heart when he was a student. Prince George, who counts spaghetti carbonara among his favorite foods, seems to have inherited his love of pasta. His sister Charlotte, on the other hand, is said to have been obsessed with olives since she was a small child.

Nowadays, the royal couple is also into curry. They often sit together in front of the TV and eat their curry while series like “Homeland” or “Game of Thrones” are running. In a Radio 1 interview with Scott Mills in 2017, they also revealed that they wear comfortable clothes – completely normal. Usually they get the curry, they don’t use a delivery service to the palace. They cook it themselves from time to time, although Kate revealed that the level of spiciness is really difficult because everyone in the family of five would like it different. She also said that she and her daughter Charlotte can handle heat quite well, while Prince William only wants medium heat.

One of Kate’s favorite dishes to date is the dessert Sticky Toffee Pudding, which the Queen also loved. According to the Daily Mail, the future queen should still do most of her grocery shopping herself. Queen Elizabeth II also had a real sweet tooth. In addition to sticky toffee pudding, her list of favorite desserts included a chocolate biscuit cake that has been baked in the royal family for generations.

However, according to her chef, the former queen was said to have been very particular about the chocolate biscuit cake. A small piece is said to have been eaten every day for afternoon tea, but if the queen left, the cake had to come with her. She insisted on eating it to the last bit, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

King Charles III and his wife Camilla are particularly fond of organic food. The king also has vegetables grown in various gardens of the residences. Eggs also play a major role in the king’s diet. In the 2006 book On Royalty, Jeremy Paxman claimed that Charles required seven eggs to be boiled for him a day – but only ate one to ensure it was perfectly cooked. However, the former prince denied this claim on the Clarence House website. So how the author came up with this protein-rich story remains a mystery.

His wife Camilla, on the other hand, seems to really like eggs, she loves scrambled eggs for breakfast with two special ingredients: nutmeg and lemon zest. Sometimes there is also herring or salmon and on top it can sometimes be a bit royal, with a little truffle.
