In spring 2024, Stefan Raab’s (57) TV format “Schlag den Besten” will return to television – no longer on ProSieben, but on RTL (also via RTL). The game show is also getting a new coat of paint. Numerous celebrities are supposed to take on different tasks in several editions – and can win a lot of money in the process.
The broadcaster has now announced the first candidates who will be included in the new edition of the show. In addition to “Let’s Dance” professional Massimo Sinató (42), presenter Lola Weippert (27) and Tokio Hotel drummer Gustav Schäfer (35), actors Felix von Jascheroff (41), footballer Kevin Großkreutz (35) and the two of them would like to Reality stars Evelyn Burdecki (35) and Calvin Kleinen (31) demonstrate their skills. Numerous celebrities will probably join in, because according to the broadcaster, eleven celebrities will compete against each other in four shows in the new edition.
The celebrities have to master ten games that require sporting skill and brains. The candidates can win 10,000 euros per round. Before each new challenge, the respective winner of a game must decide whether they want to continue playing or take the amount they have won home with them. In the final fourth broadcast there is a showdown in which the two best celebrities from the previous episodes play for the jackpot of the season.
Elton (52), the moderator of many Raab formats, is back at the start here. The first three seasons ran on ProSieben from 2019. In the first two seasons, non-celebrities competed against each other in the “Beat the Star” duel principle. In the third season, the defending champion from the previous show fought against up to ten challengers per show.
In June of this year it was announced that RTL had snapped up the game show and would broadcast it with an adapted concept. “Blamieren oder Kassieren”, hosted by Elton, also returned to the screen on RTL last September.
