Prince Harry (38) has already arrived in Düsseldorf. As reported by WDR, among others, the British royal landed in the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia late on Friday afternoon (September 8th). British media had initially reported that Prince Harry would probably only arrive in Germany on Saturday, directly on the start day of the Invictus Games, which were being held in this country for the first time.
Now the son of King Charles III can (74) can relax in peace from the travel strains of the past few days before an appointment with Federal Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (63) on Saturday afternoon: Harry will sign his name in the city’s Golden Book, and in the evening the starting signal for the sixth will be given edition of the Invictus Games – and directly afterwards the Royal will be a guest in the “current sport studio”.
Just a few hours before his arrival in Düsseldorf, Prince Harry was spotted in his British homeland, where he had been staying since September 7th. A photo taken by a tourist this Friday, according to the Daily Mail, shows the royal leaving St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) was buried there next to her husband Prince Philip (1921-2021) on September 19th last year.
Prince Harry is said not to have met members of his royal family during his short stay in England. His wife, Duchess Meghan (42), was also not at his side there – she is due to travel directly from the USA to him in Germany in the coming days. The Invictus Games will be held from September 9th to 16th. This year, around 500 participants from 21 nations are taking part in the sporting event for veterans wounded or traumatized in service.
