Despite the onset of winter and traffic chaos, stars and starlets flocked to Munich on Monday evening (December 4th) to celebrate “Mon Chéri Barbara Day” for the 15th time. Year after year, national and international celebrities come together for a good cause at the glamorous event, which this time had the motto “Happiness”.
This time, the MaLisa Foundation was supported, which Maria Furtwängler (57) and her daughter Elisabeth (31) set up in 2016 to campaign against violence against women and girls and for gender equality. “It’s a great blessing to be able to do something like this in two generations,” enthused the “Tatort” actress, who appeared in an elegant beige pants suit. She then accepted the donation check on stage, which was presented to her by this year’s lucky godmother, Adriana Lima (42).
The Brazilian supermodel came accompanied by husband Andre Lemmers and appeared in a skin-tight, high-necked and floor-length cape dress in charcoal gray with a low back neckline. She was very grateful to support “this special foundation,” she said on stage to presenter Frauke Ludowig (59), who was also leading “Barbara Day” for the 15th time.
Lima also said that she was already in the Christmas spirit, loved snow and ice and had visited two Christmas markets in Munich with her husband: “We’re celebrating Christmas at home in Los Angeles this year. When we get back, we’ll decorate the Christmas tree. We’re having dinner with the family on New Year’s Eve.”
Other international guests on Monday evening included series star Mischa Barton (37), “Gossip Girl” actress Kelly Rutherford (55) and actress Ornella Muti (68). The latter revealed that she is lucky to be healthy and to experience a lot of love within her family. However, Muti also associates the Christmas season with stress, as she admitted: “It’s stressful. You have to hurry up, buy presents, it’s crazy. It’s fun for my children. But it’s more stress than excitement.”
The situation is different for Sonya Kraus (50), who stood out in the evening with her glamorous feathered gown in lilac. “I dutifully took out the decorations for the 1st Advent. To me it really looks like kitschy bling-bling, shine and glamour,” said the presenter happily.
Actress Laura Osswald (41) attended the “Mon Chéri Barbara Tag” for the first time and had a beige evening dress with silver flower appliqués made by Lana Müller for the event. The Advent atmosphere is already in full swing at her home in Munich: “We have an Advent wreath and gnomes already hung up. My daughter made a Christmas ball with a beach – so she filled it with sand and shells, very sweet. And next weekend I’m going with you “Hit my brother a Christmas tree.”
With Dr. Christine Theiss (43) lacked time until recently, but now she is ready for the contemplative pre-Christmas period. “I love Christmas. I love decorating the house. I love baking cookies. I love thinking about gifts.” For her, this doesn’t mean stress, but rather anticipation. “The first thing I’m going to do tomorrow is pre-order a Christmas tree. I always get it just before the holidays.”
