The successful ProSieben format “Who’s stealing the show?” goes into a new round in a few months. Joko Winterscheidt (44), the broadcaster’s all-purpose weapon, will have to defend his show against three new stars in autumn 2023. As of today, May 4th, the new episodes are in production, as announced by ProSieben.
In the last season, Winterscheidt was supposed to prove himself against Tokio Hotel singer Bill Kaulitz (33), actress Jasna Fritzi Bauer (34) and rapper Sido (42) in the unusual quiz show. In the new episodes he competes against the comedian Hazel Brugger (29) and the two actors Matthias Schweighöfer (42) and Florian David Fitz (48). As before, a viewer joins each episode as a wildcard candidate.
“For me, Hazel Brugger, Matthias Schweighöfer and Florian David Fitz are like the three holy quiz kings in the opposite sense,” Winterscheidt is quoted as saying in a press release from the broadcaster. “So three short-witted folding chairs without royal glamor. Which doesn’t have to be a bad thing per se.”
On the show, the candidates have to prove themselves in a wide variety of quiz categories. Anyone who makes it to the final competes in a duel against the moderator. The winner then wins the show and is allowed to host the evening in the following edition. Should Winterscheidt lose, he will become a candidate in the next episode. As before, Katrin Bauerfeind (40) will moderate the final rounds.
