After getting engaged in the summer of 2022, they have now finally said “yes” to each other: American musician Wolfgang Van Halen and Andraia Allsorp got married on the anniversary of their first date in their home in Los Angeles. The groom is the son of legendary rock star Eddie Van Halen (1955-2020) and actress Valerie Bertinelli.

In an interview with People, the couple revealed many details about their special day and were also photographed exclusively for the magazine. “Our goal was to bring together all of our closest family and friends,” the bride explained. “The last few years have not been the easiest with not only the world but also personal tragedies, but we wanted to make this wedding not only a celebration for ourselves, but also a celebration for the people we love.”

The wedding took place on October 15, exactly eight years after their first date. The couple got married in the living room. There they had privacy and could therefore really enjoy the moment together with everyone, said the bride. The celebration then took place outside in the backyard decorated with fairy lights and flowers. One of Van Halen’s closest family friends, whom the 32-year-old says he has known “for almost three decades now,” officiated the wedding. “He’s the father of one of my best mates and he’s just an important man in our lives.” 90 guests attended the ceremony.

The bassist, who wore a tailored three-piece black suit for the event, walked into the ceremony alongside his mother – accompanied by a song with very special meaning. “The song my dad wrote for me is an instrumental called 316. It’s a nice way to include my dad.” Eddie Van Halen died of throat cancer at the age of 65. He was also remembered with an empty chair during the celebrations. “Ed would have been absolutely beaming and so proud of the man Wolfie has become and is becoming, and so happy that he found Andraia, someone who truly understands Wolfie, who he is and who he wants to be and who supports him wholeheartedly supported it,” said Valerie Bertinelli, who was married to the founder of the hard rock band Van Halen from 1981 to 2007.

As the bride walked down the aisle on her father’s arm, Dean Martin’s “Everybody Loves Somebody” played. She explained the song choice: “Dean Martin is one of my favorite artists and I thought, ‘Oh, that’s a perfect song. I need a Dean Martin song.'” Allsorp also decided to use her grandmothers as flower girls. She wore a dress from bridal label Eva Lendel with sheer long sleeves, lace details and a V-neck. “My goal was to feel comfortable all day and all night.”

The couple crowned their eight-year love with the family celebration. The two met via Instagram. In July 2022, Van Halen also announced on the social network that he had proposed to his partner. “She said yes!” was his comment on an intimate selfie of the couple, which also included a glimpse of the sparkling engagement ring.

Wolfgang Van Halen followed in his father’s musical footsteps. He played in his band, but also pursued solo projects. With his band Mammoth WVH, he set a musical monument to his father in November 2020 with his debut single “Distance” and the accompanying music video with a collection of home videos. Most recently, Wolfgang Van Halen recorded the song “I’m Just Ken” for the “Barbie” film together with Slash and Josh Freese. It was sung by lead actor Ryan Gosling .
