In the separation dispute between British actress Sophie Turner and US singer Joe Jonas, there is apparently a preliminary agreement about the whereabouts of their children. US media reported on Monday, citing court documents, that the ex-couple’s two girls should remain in New York for the time being. Turner and Jonas agreed to the restraining order together, People.com and the New York Post reported.

Turner and Jonas described their divorce plans as a “mutual decision” at the beginning of September. Last week, the actress called on the singer to return their two children. The daughters, born in 2020 and 2022, were being unlawfully detained in New York, the court document said. “The father is in possession of the children’s passports,” it says. “He refuses to return the mother’s passports and he refuses to send the children home to England with the mother.”

A spokesman for the father then announced that Jonas had initiated the divorce proceedings in the US state of Florida and that the court there had already ordered that the parents were not allowed to move with their children. The children were born in the United States and mostly lived there, according to the statement, which was available to the German Press Agency.

Jonas and Turner got engaged in 2017 and then tied the knot twice in 2019 – in May in Las Vegas and in July in France.
