Günther Jauch is known for his clear words. The 66-year-old TV presenter rarely minces his words. During his recent appearance on comedian Kurt Krömer’s “Feelings” podcast, he also spoke openly – about his rebellious childhood, his attitude towards the gossip press and why he sued the Kaulitz twins.
The Tokio Hotel stars Bill and Tom Kaulitz (33 years old) upset the moderator, who takes great care to ensure that his private life remains private, with a statement in their podcast “Kaulitz Hills – Mustard from Hollywood”.
In it, the two reported on a party night together in Berlin with Jauch and told various anecdotes. Representations like “women around me, without end” would have moved Jauch to defend himself legally.
A step that the moderator apparently takes quite often, as he tells host Kurt Krömer. Accordingly, he sued the media twice a week on average, mostly the gossip press. That costs him 20 minutes of life every day. Time that could be invested differently – but which is important to stand up for your rights.
Jauch apparently had the penchant for confrontation as a child. In conversation with Krömer, he also tells anecdotes from his childhood that paint the picture of a “rebellious child”, as Jauch describes himself. He always had the most criticism and reprimands at school.
For example, once when he received only two marks in Ancient Greek, he gave a speech addressing the teacher with the following words: “I want to be graded according to merit. I want zero marks.” He got it – and ultimately messed up the ancient Greek exam. However, that didn’t really damage Jauch’s career.
