Breathe a sigh of relief after the shock diagnosis: “The Big Bang Theory” star Kate Micucci (43) is “cancer-free” again after an operation. She announced the “great news” on her TikTok channel. The operation went very well. So good, in fact, that she no longer needs to undergo any further treatment.
In the short video clip, Micucci not only thanked her followers and fans for their many good wishes, but also the treating doctors: “A big thank you to all my doctors, the nurses and everyone who really took great care of me .” She is also very grateful that the cancer was detected so early. “I’ve been very, very lucky and I know it.” She is now really looking forward to spending Christmas with her little son.
It wasn’t until mid-December that Micucci also announced via TikTok that she was suffering from lung cancer. In this first video about her diagnosis, she reported that she had already undergone surgery and the tumor had been removed. The diagnosis was a “surprise” for her: “It’s really strange because I’ve never smoked a cigarette in my life.”
She later replied to a fan in one of the numerous comments who wanted to know how they suspected cancer. Her CRP level was massively elevated in a blood test. A doctor then wanted to examine her heart and discovered a spot in her lungs.
Kate Micucci is best known to series fans as Lucy, the girlfriend of main character Rajesh (Kunal Nayyar, 42), in several episodes of the sixth and seventh seasons of “The Big Bang Theory”. But she was also seen in series like “How I Met Your Mother”, “Scrubs” and “Malcolm in the Middle”.
