Pop singer Taylor Swift (33) is coming to German cinemas before her planned German concerts. The concert film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour”, which captures the megastar’s current world tour, opens on October 13th not only in the USA, but also worldwide. Swift announced this on Instagram today. The cinema chains Cinemaxx and UCI confirmed the German cinema release via press release.

“I’m very happy to inform you all that the concert film ‘The Eras Tour’ will officially be released in cinemas worldwide on October 13th!” writes the 33-year-old pop superstar on the social network. In Germany, the UCI and Cinemaxx cinema chains will show the film from Friday, October 13th at 6 p.m. Further performances are planned for Saturday and Sunday.

On the following three weekends, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” will be shown in Cinemaxx cinemas from Thursday to Sunday. The UCI cinema chain also mentions “several shows on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays”. Tickets are now available.

The tickets should cost 19.89 euros for adults and 13.13 euros for children. The number 13, which can be found both in the children’s award and in the release date of the concert film, is considered the singer’s lucky number. The adult price of 19.89 euros, on the other hand, alludes to the 2014 album “1989,” which “changed Swift’s life in countless ways,” as the musician herself writes on Instagram.

In the USA, the film earned 26 million US dollars (the equivalent of around 24.6 million euros) on the first day of pre-sales, which even surpassed the Marvel-Sony work “Spider-Man: No Way Home” ( 2021) record was broken. “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” is expected to be two hours and 45 minutes long and is expected to become one of the most successful titles of the year at the global box office.

Meanwhile, singer Swift has taken a short break from her acclaimed “The Eras Tour”. Things are not scheduled to continue until November 9th in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires. Some – already sold out – concerts are also planned in Germany for the summer of 2024. “The Eras Tour” will take superstar Swift across five continents. Experts expect the tour to gross a total of over $1 billion. No other concert tour has ever generated so much revenue.
