After the scandal between Aleks and Serdar (“Your daughter will be ashamed of you”) at the last nomination, the mood in episode nine in the “Summer House of the Stars” is at “absolute low point” (Carina Crone). Carina’s partner Tim Toupet no longer has “any strength, joy or motivation”. The Ballermann couple don’t want to let their roommates drag them down for another second and are giving up. First voluntary departure of the season.

Carina and Tim are not the only ones with thoughts of emigrating. “I don’t want to be here anymore,” says Vanessa Nwattu. But Aleks convinces her to stay. He doesn’t want to give his competitors Serdar and Maurice Dziwak this satisfaction.

Tim and Carina made the jump in time. Other couples don’t succeed in this, preferring to slowly disintegrate from the inside. Justine Dippl and Arben Zekic for example. He just wants to be quiet and withdraws into inner immigration; she feels demotivated by his quiet quitting. Hanna Sökeland and Jessica Huber have only been in the house since the last episode. But they also show the first signs of wear and tear. Hanna accuses Jessica of not being motivated enough in the games. We already know this pattern from Maurice and Ricarda Raatz.

Speaking of Maurice: He and Ricarda had caught up in the last few episodes. But after the first game they reached an even deeper low. The pairs had to keep as many blocks between them as possible. Maurice and Ricarda weren’t the only ones who failed the challenge. But for them, the failure that Maurice blamed solely on Ricarda leads to a de facto separation – in front of the cameras. The bad T-word is mentioned explicitly several times. As we now know, their relationship did not survive the show. The “summer house” curse, again.

By the way, there is also a winning pair in the block game. Aleks and Vanessa are slightly faster than Pia Tillmann and Zico Banach. For Aleks, who is isolated in the house because of his comments about Serkan’s daughter, this means survival.

The second ticket to the next round can be awarded in another game. The women have to memorize which items are where on a shelf. Then they have to instruct the men (plus Hanna), who have to store a shelf in line with each other. The piece of furniture is on a turntable, which doesn’t make things any easier. Serdar and Samira Klampfl are doing the best. They are also safe.

So the decision falls between Maurice/Ricarda, Zico/Pia, Arden/Justine and Hannah/Jessica. A duel quickly emerges between Maurice/Ricarda and Zico/Pia. The latter especially because they continue to stick by Aleks. In the end it’s three to three. But there is no exit challenge. Instead, Aleks and Serdar, as representatives of the two winning teams, should decide who has to go.

The two arch-enemies, of all people. But the men have a surprisingly sensible conversation. Serkan convinces Aleks that Zico and Pia are the stronger couple and have to leave for sporting reasons. Aleks realizes that he can’t make a rational argument against it.

Maurice and Ricarda have once again escaped death. The couple triumphantly reconciles – for now. Contrary to the rule, Pia wants to leave immediately; she doesn’t want to spend another night with people like that. She says that only five bottles of champagne would change her mind. Production gives in – and produces two bottles.
