She was clearly disappointed. Exactly like the rest of the team.
For Stine Jørgensen, it was also the extinguished OLYMPIC dream, which did most hurt after the showdown against Serbia.
the Fight, where the captain, large parts of the time sat on the bench, ended up 26-26, and it was just a goal for a little seen with Danish glasses.
Why must Stine Jørgensen, along with the rest of the team put on a plane to Denmark without neither medals, an OLYMPIC qualification or a place in the top eight in the luggage.
What is your response to it all?
“Sorry and hugely disappointed.”
What will be the explanation of it will be so marginally – what is the last missing?
“It will be a struggle with so much nerve in, which is mega difficult to play with during such a struggle. We don’t play our best handball. I do not think we play a very good first half but are yet in. The second half we play better, but they are allowed to make too many targets in the middle. We are jo and agreements, what we would like them to, and the agreements we keep, not at all. It costs expensive and creates some frustration.”
Overtalsspillet have pinched the last couple of games. What do you think is the reason?
“I don’t know. Uncertainty crept as quietly check. We start with fine overtalsspil in the tournament, but then sneaks a uncertainty in, because we start to make some mistakes and play wrong on it.”
There has been a lot of talk about the mental. Something to play you a trick. Is it also your feeling?
“today, I think well enough, there was a lot mentally, you would have to keep track of. Otherwise, I think, actually, we’ve been okay to keep track of, there have been a lot at stake. It is difficult to play with. Today, I think it was allowed to fill too much, even though it is hard to avoid.”
You’re a part on the bench today. Have you got an explanation – you are the one of the most experienced?
“It is completely Klavs, who manages, who plays, and I have full confidence in. I just want the team the best, and that we must win.”
But it is well frustrating?
“Yes. Of course, one would like to contribute, but then one must do what one can. And enter with zest when you are put on the track.”
What has it been for the right to host the event for you personally?
“Actually it’s not something that fills me right now. It, that fills the right now, is that OL the fail. It was a goal and a big dream for all of us. It is destroyed right now, and it had now just been such, that one could qualify for the OLYMPICS next year, it had been something else. But there are four years for.”
How long come such a struggle to nage?
“Long, I think. I think you will remember it throughout his career. Especially when it ends as it does.”
Klavs would like to play seven against five in the majority, but you had said on tv that you disagreed, that you should run it, as in used?
“Yes. I am just thinking that if you only feel insecure when playing a man in the majority..So to be two in the majority and make a mistake, as we do, so I can’t imagine it will be even more secure. It was the attitude I had to it.”
you Can see the four and a half years forward in your career – to the next OLYMPICS?
“No. Right now I’m trying just to see a few hours ahead, and see how we should come home and on.”
Have you tried something worse as a player?
“When we failed the OLYMPICS last year, I also seemed, it was tough. There we played even qualifying. Yes, the OLYMPICS-scenarios is one jolly just hard.
In leaving a VM now, where in won over two of the major (France and the Netherlands, red.), in losing two matches (to Germany and Norway, ed.) and get fought back against Serbia, but in the stand with the buck. What feeling is it?
“It’s also a little crazy, not? You may have a track record that looks like this and yet not be on. But I also feel a little, it sometimes is our story of the Danish national team. It’s no use something squeaky about it. We’ve had our opportunities, and there is nothing to do about it.”
