Whether intentionally or not, singer Britney Spears continues to fuel interest in her upcoming autobiography “The Woman in Me.” After the singer suddenly deactivated her Instagram account last weekend, she returned there with an unusual declaration of war. Spears posted a heart-shaped cake with “See you in hell” written on it in pink icing.
The pop star saved himself a more detailed explanation in the comments section, which had been deactivated for this posting anyway. However, the basic message behind it seems to be clear just one day before the publication of her tell-all book: With her work she will offend some people and sometimes seriously tarnish their public reputation.
This makes it clear: Britney Spears’ Instagram escape from the weekend was very short-lived. Her over 42 million followers briefly encountered an error message when they tried to access the singer’s account. By now, however, they have probably gotten used to it to some extent; the 41-year-old has often deactivated her profile for a short period of time.
Spears has been causing a stir with “The Woman in Me” for a few days now. Excerpts from the book published in advance provided a telling foretaste of what could happen to previous companions.
According to People, a passage in the book reveals that Spears became pregnant by her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake when she was 19 years old. She then had an abortion and now suggests in her book that Timberlake was the driving force behind this decision: “Justin was definitely not happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, we are much too young. […] If it had been left to me alone, I would never have done it. But Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”
