Ryan Gosling (42) and Eva Mendes (49) usually keep their private lives completely out of the public eye. In the course of the promotional phase for the “Barbie” film, in which Gosling is known to play Ken, the actor has now let himself be carried away to a particularly beautiful declaration of love.
In an interview with “E! News”, Gosling was asked how he would “empower” their daughters Esmeralda (8) and Amada (7), i.e. strengthen and support them. His response: “You have the best mom ever, so let’s all just follow her lead.”
The Ken actor also revealed that his daughters have also helped him with the preparations for his latest film – because the script apparently came right at the “Barbie” phase of the children. “We play with barbies,” says Gosling. “It was amazing because when the script came into my life – wherever it came from – it was right around the time that my kids were really getting into it. All the observations they’re making about Barbie life and how integrating into your life is so amazing.”
An observation that director Greta Gerwig (39) also incorporated into the film is “that people don’t play with Ken,” says Gosling. And further: “That was new to me, but now that I’m dealing with it, I realize how incredibly well observed it is.”
