Little Prince Louis looks into the camera with a broad grin on his face. On the occasion of his fifth birthday on April 23, Prince William and Princess Kate have published new pictures of their offspring.
“Someone is turning five…” read the post on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Twitter account. And further: “Happy birthday, Prince Louis!”
In the photo, the royal wears a blue wool sweater with a cute pattern, underneath a blue and white striped shirt and shorts. The little prince can be seen up close. A second picture shows Louis sitting in a wheelbarrow that his mother Kate is pushing.
Contrary to tradition, Princess Kate didn’t take the birthday photos herself this year. She is a passionate amateur photographer and usually publishes her private photos on her children’s days of honor. This year, photographer Millie Pilkington captured the beautiful family moment.
It has certainly been an exciting year for the little royal. In September he started school with his siblings at a new school. And he attended several events alongside the royal family for the first time. Many will remember the images of a hyper-hyped little boy celebrating his great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s jubilee. He also had his big appearance at “Trooping the Color”: He appeared on the balcony of the palace. There he made funny faces and chatted with the Queen.
One wonders if Prince Louis at the coronation ceremony of King Charles III. will secretly steal the show from everyone again. Kate and William are expected to attend the celebrations along with their children.
Prince Louis Arthur Charles was born on April 23, 2018, the youngest son of Kate and William. He was born in London’s St Mary’s Hospital, the couple’s third child. He has two older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. He is fifth in line to the British throne.
