Prince Harry (39) made an appearance in Las Vegas shortly after his trip to Great Britain. And according to US media reports, this caused surprised faces. As reported by “Entertainment Tonight”, among others, the Duke of Sussex was a guest at this year’s “NFL Honors” gala.
There he presented the “Walter Payton Man of the Year Award” to Cameron Heyward (34) from the Pittsburgh Steelers. When presenting the award, Prince Harry reportedly said to the NFL players in the audience: “What you do on and off the field is truly remarkable. You are role models for millions of people by the way you behave and the way you act gave something back.”
He then honored Heyward with the award. The NFL star was celebrated for his social commitment. As part of the award, he received $250,000 to donate to a charity of his choice. The 34-year-old was apparently thrilled that Prince Harry presented him with the award. “Man, Prince Harry! I’m in shock. That’s Prince Harry!” Heyward shouted as he took the stage. Harry apparently couldn’t help but laugh.
Shortly before his appearance at the gala, Prince Harry was in his British homeland. Earlier this week he came to London to pay tribute to his father, King Charles III. (75) to pay a visit. The Duke of Sussex had to fly for over ten hours to see the monarch after his cancer diagnosis. However, it seemed as if he had received a cold shoulder instead of open arms. In any case, British media reported that the meeting between Harry and Charles lasted only half an hour to a maximum of 45 minutes. Shortly afterwards, the royal couple said goodbye to the country estate in Sandringham – and Prince Harry traveled back to the USA.
