Producer and musician Dieter Bohlen celebrated his 70th birthday with prominent guests on Wednesday evening – and presented his fans with a new song alongside many hits. The jubilarian greeted the audience in the well-filled theater at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin with “Hello, Schnuckelhasen”. The evening’s motto was “Today is a perfect day for a perfect day”.
Accompanied by confetti rain, pyrotechnics and balloons, the entertainer performed some of his hits in two hours, including “Cheri Cheri Lady”, “Brother Louie”, “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul” and popular songs like “One Night”. “If thousands of people accompany you so loyally throughout your entire career, then it goes without saying that I give them the opportunity to experience an unforgettable show together with me (…),” said von Bohlen in the announcement to the concert.
The “pop titan” also presented his fans with a new song. With “For all your years” he wanted to write a title just for his fans. “We have had a long time behind us, some have been fans of mine for 40 years,” said Bohlen. The time wasn’t always easy; the media often “finished” him. However, the new song is only available at his concerts; you can “download the track in your heart”.
Numerous celebrities celebrated with Bohlen
On stage, Bohlen was joined by prominent companions. These include choreographer and model Bruce Darnell, presenter Frauke Ludowig and reality TV participant Evelyn Burdecki. Model Sylvie Meis, DSDS winner Alexander Klaws, singer Pietro Lombardi and fiancée Carina Walz also celebrated his birthday with the entertainer.
Bohlen is considered one of the most successful pop producers in Germany. According to his own statements, he is “the only artist who has 25 number 1 hits and has been awarded over 100 gold records.” In the summer, the musician wants to go on a Germany-wide open-air tour. Bohlen will be appearing on television again this year as a juror for the casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”.
