Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday evening at the age of 96. The palace said at noon that the Queen’s doctors were “concerned” about her health and had recommended medical monitoring. Elizabeth II had been suffering from health problems for a long time and had greatly reduced the number of her public appearances. Elizabeth’s successor to the throne is King Charles III.
