Oscar winner Michael Douglas (“78, “Wall Street”) wants to appear in front of the camera together with his eldest son Cameron (43). In the planned family drama “Blood Knot” they are to embody father and son who are repairing their ailing relationship It’s a film about “reparations, love and forgiveness,” said US director Howard Deutch (“Pretty in Pink”, “Empire”) to the film portal “TheWrap”.

Almost 20 years ago, three generations of the Douglas clan took part in the black comedy “It stays in the family” (2003). Alongside son Cameron were Michael and his divorced parents, Hollywood veterans Kirk Douglas (1916-2020) and Diana Douglas (1923-2015) on board.

Cameron Douglas was back in front of the camera for the first time in 2017 after serving almost seven years in prison for drug offenses. In the book “Long Way Home” (2019) he wrote about his experiences of addiction and prison. Most recently he starred in the thriller “The Runner” (2021).
