It is well known that lottery millionaire Chico likes to appear on social media. Since winning almost ten million euros in the lottery last year, the man from Dortmund has been flaunting his wealth on Instagram. Almost a million users follow him there.

At the same time, Chico is building an audience on another platform: the lucky lottery player has also recently been posting videos on YouTube. As on Instagram, he calls himself “Chico Lottomillionaire” there – and has started a very special campaign. In a video titled “Chico I wish,” he explains that he wants fans to fulfill their biggest wishes. “You just have to write me,” he says in the clip. “I would really make your dreams come true.”

An e-mail address is given in the description, to which interested parties should send their requests. The lottery millionaire as a wish fairy for total strangers – can it really be that simple? In the video, a young woman asks Chico to give her a new smartphone because hers broke. A little later the wish comes true. However, it remains unclear whether the scene was staged.

Chico says on YouTube that he wants to share his happiness with others. “Do you have a special wish? Or do you know someone who has a special wish and deserves to have it fulfilled?” He asks the user. He has previously supported charitable organizations in Dortmund and Turkey with his money.

There are a few restrictions with the latest campaign, because it must not be too expensive – apparently Chico is worried about getting fans who are only out for his money. “I don’t give anyone money,” he clarifies: “Not that you want a Rolex watch or anything – then I’m out of the game.” Instead, the fans should wish for “what you have in your heart”.

As possible examples, the lottery winner cites actions in the “meet and greet” style that are otherwise known from celebrities: a canoe trip with him, a breakfast together, a joyride in a Ferrari. Sounds like Chico wanted to give himself away first and foremost – to generate even more content for his social media channels.
