“Let’s Dance” (on RTL and RTL) was on Friday evening under the motto “Magic Moments”. For the celebrities, this meant bringing their most personal and emotional experiences to the floor with freestyle dances. “Today will be the most emotional show,” announced Joachim Llambi (58) at the beginning. He should be right about that.
Jens “Knossi” Knossalla (36) was unusually touched. The entertainer dedicated his “Magic Moment” to his mother Ida. As soon as he was asked about it, Knossi’s tears were pouring down. “You gave another side of yourself. I think that’s great,” Jorge González (55) was enchanted. Knossi and dance professional Isabel Edvardsson (40) received a total of 26 points for their mix of Viennese waltzes and slow fox.
Timon Krause’s (28) “Magic Moment” referred to the long depressive phase that accompanied the 28-year-old and that he overcame. The strict jury found the overall package of emotions and dance technique “strong”. With their mix of rumba, contemporary, paso doblo and other styles, the mentalist and Ekaterina Leonova (36) did not choose an easy variation for their freestyle. The jury trio gave 9 points each for Timon Krause’s dance of “mental liberation”.
“I didn’t want to be myself,” is how Anna Ermakova (23) described a time when she didn’t want to be in the public eye. The Becker daughter was involuntarily in the focus of the press early on. With her participation in “Let’s Dance”, Anna Ermakova now wanted to dance free and appear as an independent person. “You showed that,” Motsi Mabuse (42) couldn’t get out of the praise after the tears dried. Even Joachim Llambi had to struggle for composure. Jorge González could no longer tell the difference between Anna Ermakova and the professional dancers. 30 points went to the 23-year-old and Valentin Lusin (36).
Julia Beautx (24) gave a dance for sibling love. The YouTuber danced with Zsolt Sándor Cseke (35) for her younger sister Jana. The 24-year-old slipped on her dress. But quickly and gracefully she was able to get back on her feet. That was particularly well received by the jury. “A high-quality freestyle show,” said Motsi Mabuse. The two judges agreed. Julia Beautx was rewarded with 29 points.
Last week Sharon Battiste (31) and Christian Polanc (44) had to tremble about getting through. In this live show, the actress used the “magic moment” to express her feelings that she was going through because of her illness, the so-called circular hair loss. The pair stumbled a little on the paso-double portion of their freestyle, but the rest of the part was a solid performance and a definite improvement. “Wonderfully conveyed emotionally,” summarized Joachim Llambi the soulful performance, for which there were a total of 24 points.
Artistic gymnasts Philipp Boy (35) and Patricija Ionel (28) also delivered a successful freestyle and scored 28 points.
In addition to the individual dances, the couples also had to compete in three duels, for which additional points were awarded. In the end, Sharon Battiste and Christian Polanc ended with “Let’s Dance”.
