Lady Amelia Spencer, 30, and her longtime partner Greg Mallett, 33, have tied the knot at La Cotte Farm, near Cape Town. Getting married in South Africa means “so much” to her, the niece of Princess Diana (1961-1997) enthuses in an interview with “Hello!” magazine. She adds: “Greg and I have grown up together here for the past 14 years and have had the happiest moments as a couple here.” Now the place is “even more special.”

The two also express their love for South Africa and each other in their latest Instagram post. In the photo, the couple can be seen arm in arm in front of a picturesque backdrop. Clad in a cream satin gown, Lady Amelia Spencer lovingly embraces the face of her lover, who is wearing a dark blue suit. “Not long now…” reads the caption.

What was meant by this was probably the wedding, which according to British media reports took place on Tuesday (March 21). According to “MailOnline”, the invited guests included Lady Amelia’s sisters Eliza (30) and Kitty (32) and half-brother Samuel. Her father Earl Charles Spencer (58), Princess Diana’s brother, was reportedly not present.

After the engagement in July 2020, however, he insisted on congratulating his daughter and future son-in-law via Twitter. “I’m so happy for my daughter, Amelia, who is engaged to her boyfriend Greg,” PageSix quoted his tweet as saying. The Earl added: “It’s wonderful to hear how excited they both are about their future. I send them love and all the best wishes for their life together. I love that Greg asked my blessing before he proposed to me. Very sweet!”
