They were no longer on the same page in their marriage, but Joshua Jackson (45) and Jodie Turner-Smith (37) apparently agree on their daughter. The actress filed for divorce in October and the “Dawson’s Creek” star is now said to have agreed that both of them will share custody of little Juno (3) in the future.
A few weeks ago it became known that Turner-Smith had asked for shared custody as part of the divorce she filed for. Jackson has now agreed to all the associated conditions. This emerges from court documents that are said to be available to the US magazine “People”. Neither party has to pay child support.
Jackson and Turner-Smith met in 2018 and married in 2019. A few months later, their child was born. According to several US media reports, the British actress will be represented by divorce lawyer Laura Wasser (55), who is popular in Hollywood circles.
According to the celebrity portal “TMZ”, she stated the usual “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce in the original documents. The separation took place on September 13, 2023 – after around four years of marriage. Apparently there is no marriage contract.
“Historically, women have always been given the choice of being a great mother or having a great career,” the actress told Bustle in late 2022. However, Jackson always tried to support her. “At the moment, my daughter still accompanies me most of the time, except when I go on trips that last less than a week. That’s what has worked for us so far. Of course, it’s a challenge because I don’t want to create a space where my husband can’t see them when he’s working.” Despite the divorce, Jackson and Turner-Smith apparently plan to both see their daughter frequently thanks to the agreement.
