When one of the richest men in the world celebrates his engagement, of course the superstars come too. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos (59) celebrated an engagement party with an absolute star cast in Beverly Hills, California, on Sunday evening, according to “PageSix”. The party at the house of designer Diane Von Furstenberg (76) and media mogul Barry Diller (81) attracted, among others, TV legend Oprah Winfrey (69) and Oscar winner Barbra Streisand (81). The Hollywood couple Suki Waterhouse (31) and Robert Pattinson (37) also mingled with the guests.
According to the report, other celebrities on site included Kim Kardashian (43), her mother Kris Jenner (68), actresses Salma Hayek (57) and Jessica Alba (42) and comedian Chris Rock (58). Disney boss Bob Iger (72), talk show icon Gayle King (68) and model Miranda Kerr (40) were also spotted. As the article goes on to say, Jeff Bezos gave an “incredible” and “heartfelt” speech about his fiancée Lauren Sánchez (53).
During the party, the singer Jewel (49) performed the song “Legendary,” which she wrote exclusively for Bezos and Sánchez. According to media reports, Bezos and Sánchez have been engaged since May 2023. At that time, the presenter was spotted in the south of France at the Cannes Film Festival with an eye-catching ring. Good friends were already informed about the wedding plans back then. A few weeks later, Sánchez confirmed rumors.
Back in August, there were reports of an engagement party on Bezos’ $500 million yacht off Italy. Back then, too, numerous celebrities were present on site, including Bill Gates (68). Bezos had been married to MacKenzie Scott (53) since 1993. The two have four children, an adopted daughter and three biological sons. The separation was announced at the beginning of 2019 and the divorce became final in April 2019. Bezos’ fortune is currently estimated at around $150 billion. This would make him the third richest person in the world after Tesla boss Elon Musk (52, approx. 250 billion) and the French entrepreneur Bernard Arnault (74, approx. 170 billion).
