The fans can apparently look forward to a third part of “Wonder Woman”. Actress Gal Gadot (38) revealed this in an interview with “ComicBook.com”. According to this, another part of the comic adaptation should also be developed after the changes at the top of DC Studios.
In the interview, the Israeli actress actually wanted to advertise her new Netflix film “Heart of Stone”. But then the conversation finally turned to her successful film character. “I love being Wonder Woman,” Gadot enthuses. “I heard from James and Peter that we’re going to develop ‘Wonder Woman 3’ together.” James Gunn (56) and Peter Safran (57) are the new heads of DC Studios. Gunn is also the director of “Superman: Legacy”.
Gadot first took on the role of Wonder Woman in the 2016 comic book adaptation Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. A year later, she starred in Wonder Woman and again in the 2020 sequel Wonder Woman 1984. She also appeared in the role in Justice League (2017) and its director’s cut, Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2022).
Patty Jenkins (52) directed the standalone “Wonder Woman” films. The two women developed Wonder Woman 3 together when Gunn and Safran were named the new heads of DC Studios. Therefore, plans for a sequel under Patty Jenkins were scrapped. That left Gal Gadot’s future as Wonder Woman initially open.
