Next career step for Daniel Kwan (35) and Daniel Scheinert (35). After winning the Oscar for directing ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ last week, they have now arrived in the ‘Star Wars’ universe. It has now been revealed that the directing duo, also known as The Daniels, have directed at least one episode for the upcoming series “Skeleton Crew”.

An anonymous source told The Hollywood Reporter about the Daniels’ involvement. This information is not officially confirmed. It is therefore not known whether Kwan and Scheinert only shot one or more episodes. Walt Disney likes to keep details about the “Star Wars” series running at Disney secret until just before the start.

A start date for “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” has also not yet been announced – except that the series will come later this year. Apart from that, all we know is that it’s about a group of children who have to embark on an odyssey home after the fall of the Galactic Empire. So it takes place after the plot of “Return of the Jedi” (1983). Jude Law (50) is confirmed as an adult cast member.

Jon Watts (41) has been named as one of the directors. As we have now learned, the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” maker probably does not stage all the episodes himself.

With their spectacle “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, which was lavishly staged and almost bursting with ideas despite the small budget, the Daniels have apparently recommended themselves for larger tasks.

The duo started out with music videos. They first drew attention to the big screen in 2016 with the offbeat “Swiss Army Man.” Daniel “Harry Potter” Radcliffe (33) plays a corpse that shipwrecked man Paul Dano (38) uses to survive.
