Artists from 37 countries will travel to Liverpool next year to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest. This has now been announced on the homepage of the notorious music competition.

Albania, Australia, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland and France are among the participants. It continues with Georgia, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and Moldova.

The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and of course the Ukraine and the United Kingdom will also compete.

Originally, Ukraine, as last year’s winners, would have taken on the role of host. However, due to the Russian war of aggression, the ESC will take place in the UK.

Nevertheless, Ukraine, like the Big Five, i.e. France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Great Britain, is directly in the final. All remaining 31 countries have yet to compete in a semi-final competition.

The first semi-final will take place on May 9th and the second on May 11th. The final will be played at the Liverpool Arena on May 13th. The ESC is organized by the European Broadcasting Union and the BBC.
