Said insider is sure: “Should she pull through, then soon no one would remember that her stupid little podcast was canceled after just one season.” According to the reports, the Dior deal – in addition to taking a large, but undisclosed sum – is primarily intended to give the Duchess a new image.
A look at other Dior brand ambassadors shows that it is also financially worthwhile. According to “TMZ”, Jennifer Lawrence (32) allegedly received $15 million, Johnny Depp (60) even $20 million. What also makes the deal seem realistic: In the past, Duchess Meghan has often appeared in clothes from the luxury brand.
The rumors about the Dior cooperation came up just a few days after the news that Duchess Meghan’s Spotify podcast “Archetypes” would not receive a second season. Meghan continues to develop more content for the ‘Archetypes’ audience on another platform.”
Meghan’s podcast first aired in August 2022 and had a successful first season. Two days after its premiere, “Archetypes” topped the international Spotify charts in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. The show even won a People’s Choice Award for Pop Podcast of the Year 2022.
