They did it on September 27, 2014: Carsten Maschmeyer (64) and Veronica Ferres (58) tied the knot. This Wednesday, the couple is celebrating their ninth wedding anniversary – including a sweet declaration of love on Instagram.

“9 years full of love, laughter and unforgettable moments together. I am so grateful to have you by my side,” writes the entrepreneur and investor, known from “The Lion’s Den”, to his loved one. “Happy anniversary my lioness!”

Maschmeyer also shared two photos that show the couple on their wedding day nine years ago. Ferres wore a creamy white dream dress with chunky lace. Her hair was styled in an elegant updo. Maschmeyer celebrated the day in a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie and a white shirt.

It was the second wedding for both Carsten Maschmeyer and Veronica Ferres in 2014. The entrepreneur was married to Bettina Maschmeyer (60) from 1989 to 2009, with whom he has sons Marcel and Maurice. Ferres was married to the film director Martin Krug (65) from 2001 to 2010, and they have daughter Lilly Krug (22).

The 22-year-old is currently starting out in Hollywood. In 2022 she was seen in two high-profile productions – alongside Gerard Butler (53) in “The Plane” and alongside John Malkovich (69) in “Shattered”. She has been living and studying in America for several months.

Maschmeyer can currently be seen on television in the 14th season of the VOX founders’ show “The Lions’ Den” (every Monday from 8:15 p.m.). Ferres recently celebrated the premiere of her RTL original “Abducted – 14 Days of Survival”. The film is about the Johannes Erlemann kidnapping case from 1981. Ferres acted as producer.
