They made good on their announcement: the stars of the “Barbie” film did not take part in the premiere party in Berlin because of the actors’ strike. The German celebrities had to celebrate without Margot Robbie (33) and Ryan Gosling (42) in the Berlinale Palace. Most wore pink or pink to match the film. But there were also some exceptions.
On Saturday (June 15), visitors marveled at the Barbie world on Potsdamer Platz: a dream house with a slide and a ball pool had been set up there for the premiere party. The red carpet was, of course, pink that night. And the stars got to pose in big Barbie boxes and sit in a pink car. Influencer Riccardo Simonetti (30) was allowed to test the dream world in advance and was enthusiastic. “But in the Barbie world, there’s no water in the pool,” he stated. In view of the oppressive heat, many a visitor would have liked to have treated himself to a little cooling off.
In the evening, the influencer wore a pink suit by Dawid Tomaszewski. Simonetti wasn’t the only man who went for the Barbie color. Tokio Hotel frontman Bill Kaulitz (33) also drew everyone’s attention in a colorful sequined suit. He told the “Bild”: “I wouldn’t be as cool as Barbie. Of course I would hang out with Ken a lot. Especially if it’s Ryan Gosling!” He was a little disappointed that the Hollywood star hadn’t come: “I dressed especially for Ryan.” His twin brother Tom Kaulitz also kept up with fashion from afar: on summer vacation with Heidi Klum (50), he just jumped into the water in pink swimming trunks.
Influencer Julian Claßen (30) attracted attention in Berlin with a pink shirt – and because he was busy snogging his girlfriend Tanja Makarić (25). She gushed afterwards: “The Barbie movie was so great. Really great messages and at the same time totally funny.” In contrast to celebrities like Natascha Ochsenknecht (58) and Karoline Herfurth (39), she did not choose a pink outfit, but wore a black dress. Moderator Dunya Hayali (49) also preferred to choose black. Actress Hanna Herzsprung (41) also broke with the evening’s secret dress code and came in a tight gray dress. With a light pink bag, she still provided a little Barbie moment. Chryssanthi Kavazi (34) took a much more colorful approach. She combined an orange bag with the pink shorts.
The film starts in German cinemas on July 20th.
