The actor Axel Milberg (66) is on a big “crime scene” farewell tour. In mid-March he announced that he would no longer renew his contract and was thus turning his back on his prime role as Kiel Commissioner Klaus Borowski after around 20 years. He is looking forward to new things and is now looking ahead, said Milberg about his decision. “There was never a routine in the ‘crime scene’, nothing was repeated, every ‘crime scene’ in Kiel was different,” said Milberg.

It is also certain that his successor will be his previous partner Almila Bagriacik (32), who took over the role of Mila Sahin at Borowski’s side in 2015. Until then, Axel Milberg fans can still admire their favorite investigator a few times on TV. This Sunday (May 7th), the first shows a classic Kiel “crime scene” with “Borowski und die Große Wut” with a once again convincing Milberg as a cranky investigator. Five more episodes are likely to come.

The new episode “Borowski und das hungrige Herz” was shot in Kiel, Bad Oldesloe and Hamburg in September 2021, which premiered in October 2022 and will be shown on TV for the first time in 2024. Also finished is “Borowski and the Revenant”, which was filmed in April 2022. NDR originally announced the film for 2023, but the TV premiere will most likely not take place until 2024.

In July 2022, the episode “Borowski and the innocent child from Wacken” was also filmed, which was filmed during the famous heavy metal festival in the Schleswig-Holstein province, among other things. The NDR announced this film for autumn 2023 and would thus break the chronological order of the time of shooting and broadcast.

However, until its final end in 2025, two more Borowski episodes are to be produced. So all his fans can be temporarily reassured: five cans of Kiel “Tatort” with Axel Milberg will continue to flicker across the screens for the next two years.
