Arnold Schwarzenegger is detained by customs at Munich airport. The “Bild” newspaper reports this and also published a picture of the “Terminator” inside an office of the authority – surrounded by two officials. Thomas Meister, spokesman for the main customs office in Munich, has now confirmed the current measures to the newspaper: “We are investigating Arnold Schwarzenegger for tax evasion.” According to the report, it is about a luxury watch that Schwarzenegger brought to Germany on his way to Kitzbühel, Austria.
He landed at Munich Airport at 1:34 p.m. after a flight from Los Angeles and then wanted to head towards the Alps. In the run-up to this year’s “Austrian World Summit” in June, he brought with him a very special example of the Swiss luxury brand Audemars Piguet. This was actually supposed to be auctioned off at a preliminary event tomorrow as part of the Hahnenkamm race. It is a unique piece made especially for Arnold Schwarzenegger. According to the customs statement, the actor and ex-politician would still have had to register the watch because it was an import.
As it says on the official homepage of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s climate initiative, “exclusive activities such as a living room concert by The BossHoss or a training session with Arnold Schwarzenegger himself as well as works of art, signed exhibits and experiences from the world of sports are planned for tomorrow in Kitzbühel and the film” to be auctioned off for a good cause. In addition to Schwarzenegger, The BossHoss, Felix Neureuther, Ralf Moeller, Mark Keller and Barbara Meier have also announced themselves as guests. The auction takes place in the famous Stanglwirt.
