Prince Harry, according to British media, after the coronation of his father King Charles III. immediately made his way home to the USA. The 38-year-old was taken from Westminster Abbey to London’s Heathrow Airport with a police escort, the Sun newspaper reported on Saturday.

It had previously been read that Harry wanted to fly home immediately as his son Prince Archie celebrated his fourth birthday on Coronation Day. Wife Duchess Meghan stayed in California with Archie and their almost two-year-old daughter Lilibet anyway.

Harry decided not to have a private family dinner at Buckingham Palace. However, it was unclear whether he was even invited given his serious allegations against the palace. He was not scheduled for the coronation procession or the family picture on the balcony of Buckingham Palace anyway, since he is no longer a “working royal” and no longer makes any public appearances on behalf of the palace.

At the coronation, the fifth heir to the throne therefore only sat in the third row, alongside Jack Brooksbank, the husband of his cousin Princess Eugenie, and 86-year-old Princess Alexandra, a cousin of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
