Anne Hathaway (39) attended the New York Film Festival on Wednesday (October 12). At the screening of her new film “Times of Upheaval” she drew everyone’s attention. She appeared in a long-sleeved dress embroidered with sequins and beads. This fell to the calf where it met pointy silver kitten heeled boots. The actress opted for silver nail polish and jewelry to match the outfit.

She kept her hair and makeup simple. She wore her voluminous, dark mane open and with a middle parting. The actress emphasized her eyes with black eyeliner and her cheeks with a hint of pink blush.

Anne Hathaway posed on the red carpet with her fellow actors Jeremy Strong (43), Banks Repeta and Jaylin Webb and director James Gray (53). Anthony Hopkins (85), who is also part of the “Times of Upheaval” cast, stayed away from the screening.

“Times of Upheaval” is a coming-of-age story about the strength of family and the generational pursuit of the American dream. At the center of the semi-autobiographical drama is the teenage James Gray. He had attended the same private school as Donald Trump in the 1980s in the New York borough of Queens. Anne Hathaway plays Esther Graff, whose character is based on James Gray’s mother.

“Times of Upheaval” celebrates its theatrical premiere on October 28, 2022 in the United States. The film can also be seen in German cinemas from mid-November.
