It was probably the worst day of his life. On October 21, 2021, actor Alec Baldwin (65) accidentally shot camerawoman Halyna Hutchins on the set of “Rust”. Now Baldwin is under pressure again: A new report comes to the conclusion that, contrary to his claims, he should have pulled the trigger.

The forensic report, obtained by People magazine, said Baldwin must have pulled the revolver’s trigger “enough” to release the shot. The incident, according to assessors Lucien and Mike Haag, was “the result of manually pulling back the hammer and pulling the trigger.”

Baldwin has always denied shooting. He merely cocked the hammer but did not pull the trigger. The allegations against him were only dropped in April. However, the New Mexico Attorney’s Office said at the time that after examining the revolver, Baldwin could be charged again with involuntary manslaughter. She hired firearms experts to conduct a second investigation into the gun, which had previously been investigated by the FBI.

Will the actor be back in court soon? So far, the public prosecutor has not commented on this, but a decision is imminent, it said. Alec Baldwin’s lawyers did not initially comment either.

In addition to Baldwin, Rust’s weapons master Hannah Gutierrez-Reed (25) is also accused. According to her lawyer, she stated that she did not load the gun with live ammunition. The trial against the 25-year-old is scheduled to begin in December.
