Superstar Beyoncé (41) has now been immortalized with a wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Berlin. The wax museum revealed this on Instagram with a short clip, among other things. The character wears a black and white long sleeve mini dress with matching boots. The outfit is reminiscent of one of her looks from the 2018 “On The Run II” tour with husband Jay-Z (53). In the comment column, many users are enthusiastic about the similarity of the figure to the original.
“Yesterday in Dubai, today in Berlin! Queen B is coming to Madame Tussauds Berlin just in time for the start of the winter holidays,” writes the wax museum in its post, referring to Beyoncé’s performance last weekend in the new hotel “Atlantis The Royal” in Dubai.
The singer, who gave a full concert for the first time in four years, received a fee of 24 million dollars (equivalent to around 22 million euros) for her performance. But there was also a lot of criticism from the LGBTQ community about the UAE’s policy on same-sex love.
“The Grammy winner’s commitment casts a shadow over her support for lesbians and gay men,” Bev Jackson, co-founder of British advocacy group LGB Alliance, was quoted as saying by The Telegraph. “Beyoncé is a huge icon for a lot of gay people,” Jackson continued. “The LGB Alliance is therefore deeply disappointed that Beyoncé has agreed to perform a lucrative concert in Dubai, where same-sex sexual activity is a criminal offense punishable by the death penalty.”
