As soon as the change posse and the first match day of the Bundesliga are over, the new FC Bayern superstar Harry Kane (30) is already missing from the training of the record champions. But fans needn’t worry that the costly striker’s work ethic is lacking or that the star has already injured himself. The excused absence has more to do with the good news that Kane has become a father for the fourth time.
So instead of sweating in the midday heat at public practice, Kane gets to spend the day with wife Katie Goodland and their newborn son, who was born on August 20th. Supporters of FC Augsburg, against whom Bayern play their first home game of the new season next Sunday, should not harbor hopes that the star striker could fail. From Wednesday (August 23) Kane should be back with the team.
Kane’s fourth child will be named Henry Edward Kane, according to his father in his affectionate Instagram post, which he posted shortly after the birth. As resourceful users spotted, among other things, the boy was obviously born in England. Because on Papa Kane’s two Instagram pictures, both a typical British socket and an English caption can be seen. Before the birth, the British media had already expressed the fear that Kane Jr. was born in Germany and could therefore one day appear for the German national team.
Knowing each other from school, Harry Kane and Katie Goodland got engaged in July 2017 and tied the knot two years later. The couple already has three children together, daughters Ivy (6) and Vivienne (5) and son Louis (2). Kane switched from Tottenham Hotspur to FC Bayern for a fee of around 100 million euros, which could allegedly even increase with any bonus payments. The 30-year-old’s contract runs until 2027.
