There are people who can sleep anywhere – no matter how much is going on around them. Actress Florence Pugh (27) seems to belong to this type of person, as she has now revealed to podcast hosts Nick Grimshaw (39) and Angela Hartnett (55) in the podcast “Dish”. “I actually sleep best in a room full of people who are getting ready for the next scene,” she said in an interview.

It’s not difficult for her to go into her trailer at any time on set to take a ten-minute nap, but she prefers being able to lie down to sleep directly on set.

“I love scenes in bed,” says Pugh, explaining her passion for little power naps in between. “These are the best. You have to lie in bed while everything is being prepared and prepare yourself for what you have to do in bed.” When asked if she would rather go to her trailer instead, she always says “no.” “I’ll just stay there like a little bean.”

Once she actually fell asleep: “In my second film – ‘Lady Macbeth’ […] In the scene I was supposed to sleep and then wake up after a while […] I closed my eyes fell asleep, they started filming and at some point I woke up with a start and pretended to wake up.”

The whole team was ready to shoot, but she was still in sleep mode. Afterwards the director said to her: “That was good. But I think next time we’ll shorten the sleeping part a little.”

Florence Pugh received several Best Actress awards for her leading role in “Lady Macbeth.” She was also seen in Greta Gerwig’s (40) historical drama “Little Women” (2019). Most recently she played the role of Jean Tatlock in “Oppenheimer” by Christopher Nolan (53).
