The actress and presenter Annette Frier is taking part in a new ARD documentary series that is looking for solutions to the climate crisis. In his own words, this also helped the 49-year-old personally.
“I definitely have more hope,” she said ahead of Monday’s (March 20) broadcast. “You tend to feel incredibly overwhelmed as an individual. Where do I start? What can I even do? And what’s the point of doing it anyway? Letting the good stories be told among all the bad news is very motivating and useful for mental hygiene.”
As a 90-minute documentary, “We can also be different” is to be broadcast by SWR on March 20 at 11:35 p.m. on the first channel.
From the same day, the documentary will also be available as a multi-part series in the ARD media library. Actors such as Anke Engelke and Bjarne Mädel and four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel also took part.
“To see that maybe it’s not that difficult and that others have already done it,” Frier describes her experience. “If they did it so well… – I’ll just be on my way!” In one episode, Frier and actor Axel Prahl (“Tatort”) met people who convert vacant office buildings into affordable living space.
