King Charles III (74) and his wife, King Consort Camilla (75), publish loving greetings on the occasion of Mother’s Day, which is celebrated on March 19 in Great Britain, among other places.
Two very different photos were published on the royal family’s Instagram account. One shows the former Prince Charles, around the age of one and a half, standing on the lap of his mother, who later became Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). Both beam at the camera.
The second photo shows a smiling Rosalind Maud Cubitt (1921-1994) in the foreground of a rather advanced age, her daughter Camilla stands behind her beaming and with her arms crossed.
In the comment, the two British royals not only greet their deceased mothers. “We think of all mothers around the world and everyone who misses their mothers today and wish you a special Mother’s Day,” reads it.
