Valentina Pahde (28) says goodbye to her series role in “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten” on March 27th. The actress is taking a long break and will leave the “GZSZ” neighborhood for the USA as Sunny Richter. In the last scene she can be seen with Wolfgang Bahro (62), who says goodbye to Sunny as grandfather Jo Gerner.
“I’ve always loved being in front of the camera with Valentina,” the actor looks back in the RTL interview. His colleague is not only very professional, always well prepared and disciplined, “but also very humorous and relaxed, which is a lot of fun and joy at work”.
Shooting the last scenes with Pahde was very sad, “because I will miss her very much. Not only as Jo Gerner, but also as the actor Wolfgang Bahro”. The tears of farewell in front of the camera were followed by real tears when the scene was in the can, reveals the 62-year-old.
The actor also reveals exactly what the farewell scene will look like. “Sunny says goodbye to her grandfather Jo, gets in the taxi that takes her to the airport, from where she flies to the United States to take a job with an architect,” explains Bahro. The RTL announcement for episode 7.734 of March 27 reads: “Sunny’s farewell to Berlin is getting closer and closer. She meets up with her friends and family one last time before she finally starts her new life… Emily is leaving Saying goodbye to Sunny is imminent. That’s why Sascha does everything he can to get her mind off things.”
Bahro wishes his colleague “all the best, good luck and success”. He hopes that she can use this time well for new goals and “most of all I hope, of course, that Gerner will get his granddaughter back soon”. In October 2022 it was announced that Pahde would say goodbye to “GZSZ” for a longer period of time.
For eight years she has been one of the best-known faces of the RTL-Daily “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten” (Monday to Friday at 7:40 p.m. on RTL or via RTL). With “Sunny – who are you really?” she even got her own spin-off. Pahde also works as a designer, model and influencer.
