The knowledge and game show “Ask the mouse” gets a new hostess: Presenter Esther Sedlaczek (37) will lead through the program in the future, as the broadcaster announced on Thursday. Her first show airs Saturday, May 20 at 8:15 p.m. on Das Erste.
“It’s wonderful to be the host of a big Saturday evening show in the first. But what could be nicer than presenting alongside the mouse?” Sports journalist Sedlaczek enthuses about her new job. The mouse has been with her for as long as she can remember. “And I’m even a bit in love with the little blue elephant,” she admits and promises: “Together with the team of mouse experts, we’re going to look for the fascinating answers to lots of crazy children’s questions.” All in all, she is very much looking forward to this “great new task”.
Mark Forster, Nico Santos, Carolin Kebekus, Horst Lichter and Michael Kessler have registered as guests of their opening show.
“Ask the mouse” has been around since 2006. Jörg Pilawa (57) ran the program until the end of 2009. Since 2010, the presenter has been called Eckart von Hirschhausen (55). And he gets a new job. On May 6th he presented the program “What can man do?” for the first time. He reveals: “In the tradition of ‘Hirschhausen’s Quiz des Menschen’, the audience in my new show ‘What can man do?’ look forward to extraordinary talent, medical knowledge and the best entertainment.”
Dietmar Bär, Bjarne Mädel, Janin Ullmann and Simone Thomalla will be part of the opening show.
On his farewell to the mouse, Eckart von Hirschhausen says: “For more than twelve years I was able to present ‘Ask the Mouse’ with a lot of fun and heart and soul. I am happy to know that this great show is in the best hands with Esther Sedlaczek. “
