Lisa Marie Presley (1968-2023) died a year ago at the age of just 54. Her mother, Priscilla Presley (78), spoke out on the social network X (formerly Twitter) on the first anniversary of the singer’s death.

“It’s now been a year since you left us and not a day goes by that I don’t think of you and miss you. Rest in peace, Lisa,” Presley wrote directly to her daughter. “You are now in the arms of your beloved father. Only that… gives me comfort. Mom”

Lisa Marie Presley was the only child of Elvis (1935-1977) and Priscilla Presley. A coroner’s inquest determined the cause of death to be a small intestinal obstruction caused by scar tissue following surgery.

Meanwhile, actress Riley Keough (34), Lisa Marie Presley’s daughter, published an old picture from her childhood on Instagram that shows her with her late mother. She only posted a heart emoji.

It has just been revealed that Keough helped complete a biography of Lisa Marie. It was an honor for her, she said on Instagram. The as yet untitled book is scheduled to be published by Penguin Random House on October 15, 2024. “Few people had the opportunity to know who my mother really was, other than that she was Elvis’ daughter,” Keough was quoted as saying in a statement. Working on it was “a privilege, albeit a bittersweet one.” “I’m so excited to show my mother at her most vulnerable and honest, and in doing so I hope readers love my mother as much as I do.”
