Two films with German actress Sandra Hülser (45) have been nominated for the top prize from the US Producers Association this year. Both the British historical drama “The Zone of Interest” and the French legal drama “Anatomy of a Case”, in which Hülser plays a leading role, are among the ten nominations for the top prize, the Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced on Friday with.

This means that for the first time, two films that do not come from the USA are among the nominees. The award is considered a barometer for the Oscars, which will be awarded on March 10th.

Also in the running: “American Fiction,” “Barbie,” “The Holdovers,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Maestro,” “Oppenheimer,” “Past Lives” and “Poor Things.” More than 8,000 film producers vote on the awards. The Hollywood producers’ trophies will be awarded for the 35th time on February 25th.
