The comedy dream couple Anke Engelke (57) and Bastian Pastewka (51) are currently shooting the eight half-hour episodes for the fictional Prime Video original series with the working title “Never Ever” in Marburg and Cologne. The two are not only the main actors, but also act as co-producers.
Directed by Sabine Boss and Nico Berse-Gilles. In addition to Engelke and Pastewka, there are Fritzi Haberlandt (47), Edin Hasanovic (31), Peter Jordan (55), Michael Wittenborn (69), Lea Freund (27), Serkan Kaya (45), Caro Scrimali (46) and Melodie Simina (b. 1996) to see. All episodes will be available exclusively to Prime members worldwide in 2024.
According to the streaming service, the series is “about determinations and coincidences, revenge and forgiveness, friendships and tantrums, illegal parking and cat plasters, and the eternal longing for a happy ending”.
“‘Never Ever’ is a classic comedic coming-of-age story,” explains btf Executive Producer Jule Everts. “With the subtle difference that the main characters are not in their 20s but in their early 50s.
