Queen Camilla (75) mourns the loss of Len Goodman. The former judge of the British dance show “Strictly Come Dancing” died on April 22 of complications from bone cancer. From 2004 to 2016, the former professional dancer was chief judge of the successful format that served as a model for the RTL show “Let’s Dance”. He was 78 years old.

According to the Daily Mail, Buckingham Palace said Camilla was “sad about this news”. The Queen Consort is considered a fan of the show, she should turn on almost every episode.

Queen Camilla does not only know Len Goodman from the television screen. In 2019 she even danced with him. They floated together across the floor at London’s Victory Services Club at a celebration of the 90th anniversary of the British Dance Council. Videos of the dance routine can be found on Twitter.

“What an honor,” Len Goodman said of his dance with Camilla at the time. “I have danced with hundreds of girls over the years and this is the most memorable, she is so lovely and was charming and lovely”.

Len Goodman was a judge on “Dancing with the Stars,” the US version of the globally hit dance show, until 2022. He had retired just a few months ago to be able to spend more time with his wife Sue and their grandchildren.
